Everything Dog Treats was started by me in 2006. We started off baking homemade dog treats. I quickly learned that there were some technical challenges associated with baking gourmet dog treats, and that my particular skills would be helpful in helping other gourmet dog treat bakers!
I graduated from Virginia Tech with a Master’s in Food Science and Technology in 1996. With these skills, I have been in the food industry for more than 14 years. I have worked at some major food companies and have a great deal of experience with batters, breadings, coatings, marinades. Since starting my small business adventure, I have been working with dog treat bakers and providing some neat baking solutions.
But getting started in the dog treat business was not an easy road. And even today, as a small business owner I face challenges that I hadn’t planned on. The Everything Dog Treats website is about dog treats. The Dawg Daily is about my behind the scenes experience as a small business owner. Hope you enjoy!!!
